About J.W. Perry, inc.
James W. Perry established the J.W. Perry Company in the fall of 1938. The company began as a fresh Christmas greens producer, with flower shops, garden centers and cemeteries becoming the main customer base. As the company grew, it expanded its inventory to include basic floral supplies and greenery, and also began weekly truck routes to better service its customers. Our customers now span a wide variety of industries that include: floral designers, craft merchandisers, interior design professionals, wedding planners, gift basket packaging services, along with many other related industries.

In 1968, Leroy and Barbara Brose purchased the company excited about the future of the floral industry. By 1971, fresh cut flowers were also added to the product line. In the 70’s and 80’s wholesale distribution centers were added to the Midwest cities of Des Moines, Iowa, Moorhead, Minnesota, Grand Forks, North Dakota, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In 1993, construction began in Merrill with a “state of the art” greenhouse facility. Additional greenhouses were added in 1995 and 1996 for green and blooming plants and cut flowers. Today, the greenhouse has grown to over 125, 000 square feet and supplies fresh cut flowers to all of the J.W. Perry, Inc. locations.

Today J.W. Perry, Inc. has six wholesale locations, two retail outlets and a transit division. Not forgetting its roots, they still provide Christmas greens to the Midwest. With over 170 full and part-time employees, J.W. Perry, Inc. has become a leader in the floral industry and continues to carry on the commitment and tradition that was developed over 65 years ago.
